DAY 1—ISRAEL • CAIRO
Early morning departure by motorcoach to Cairo. Drive across the biblical Sinai Desert and cross the Suez Canal.
Arrive at your Cairo hotel in time for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 — CAIRO • GREAT PYRAMIDS
Morning visit to the Egyptian Museum which includes a collection of antiquities and the golden mask and treasures of Tut-Ank-Amon. In the afternoon drive to Giza to visit the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, and the Sphinx Valley Temple. The most adventurous will be invited to ride a camel. Dinner at the hotel. Evening optional Sound & Light show by the Pyramids.
DAY 3 — CAIRO
Morning visit to Memphis, the city of the God Ptah, and the capital of the oldest kingdom in the world with its Alabaster Sphinx and the Statue of Ramses II. Drive to Sakkara to see the King Zoser step pyramid which dates from 2790 B.C. and is the oldest pyramid in Egypt. In the afternoon proceed to Old Cairo, see the Abu Sirgha Church which is believed to mark the place where the Holy Family rested on their flight into Egypt. Visit the typical bazaars. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Or — Full day tour to Luxor visiting Luxor and Karnak Temples and the Valleys of the Kings and Queens — airfare included.
DAY 4 — CAIRO • USA
This morning transfer to the airport and depart on your hometown flight. Arrive home today with wonderful memories of a visit to the land of the Pharaohs.

DAY 4 —CAIRO • LUXOR
Morning flight to Luxor or Aswan depending on day of departure for your cruise. We embark in Luxor and have lunch on board. Visit the vast Temple of Karnak which is the largest place of worship in history. We will also visit Luxor Temple, built by the two pharaohs: Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The temple was dedicated to Amun-Ra, whose marriage to Mut was celebrated annually, when the sacred procession moved by boat from Karnak to Luxor Temple. Back to the ship for overnight.
DAY 5 — LUXOR • ESNA • EDFU
We visit the Valley of the Kings, Queens and Nobles on the West Bank of the Nile, the final resting place for Egypt’s powerful New Kingdom pharaohs. In the afternoon, we visit the Thebes Necropolis, the Colossi of Memnon, the Dier El Bahari Temple, which was built by Queen Hatshepsut to perform the rites of the nether world. We sail to Esna through the lock, and on to Edfu.
DAY 6 — EDFU • KOM OMBO
Today we visit the temple of Horus at Edfu, the best preserved of all Egyptian temples, which took 180 years to build. We sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Temple, dating to the Ptolomies. It is built on a high dune overlooking the Nile. The temple is shared by two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the falcon god.
DAY 7 — ASWAN • CAIRO
This morning we visit The High Dam. This 20th century engineering miracle is one of the largest dams in the world, and was built to safeguard Egypt against the high Nile floods which either destroyed large tracts of land or ran wastefully into the Mediterranean. We also visit the Island of Philae, where you will visit the Temple of Isis. Return to Cairo for overnight.
OPTIONAL: (DAY 7) ABU SIMBEL • CAIRO
Optional – This morning we fly to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival we will visit the first, and largest of the temples, dedicated to the sun god Ra-Harakhte. This colossal structure, saved by being moved to higher ground prior to the building of the Aswan Dam, depicts Ramses and his wife Nefertari. We transfer to the airport for our return flight into Cairo where we overnight.
DAY 8 — CAIRO • USA
USA Depart on our hometown flight. We will arrive home this evening with wonderful memories of a visit to the Land of the Bible!
